Mr and Mrs Joshua Michael Overmiller
Brittany Katherine McClure, daughter of Bill and Elaine McClure of Newtown, and Joshua Michael Overmiller, son of Bob and Bebe Overmiller of Prince Frederick, Md., were joined in marriage July 14, on the beach at Long Boat Key, Fla. The Rev Daniel Maiden officiated.
Ms McClure was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white A-line silk chiffon gown with crystal straps. The bridal bouquet was a small round clutch arrangement of red, yellow, and orange bird of paradise, pincushions, calla lilies, orange stars of Bethlehem, carnations, and orchids.
She was attended by her maid of honor, her sister Laura McClure of Stamford, who wore a blue-gray and white sundress and carried a small bouquet similar to the brideâs. Katie Bloom of Norwalk and Melissa De Sooma of Rockville, Md., served as bridesmaids to Mrs McClure. They wore sundresses of blue-gray and white and carried small arrangements of red, yellow, and orange flowers.
The best man was Justin Brooks of St Louis, Mo. Jeffrey McClure, Rosewell, Ga., brother of the bride, and Andrew LaRoche, Lewes, Del., served as ushers.
The reception was held at Sea Place Clubhouse in Long Boat Key, Fla.
The bride is a Newtown High School graduate and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a BS in chemical engineering and of the University of Maryland with a masterâs in atmospheric chemistry. She is currently living in England.
Mr Overmiller is a graduate of Calvert High School and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a BS in computer engineering and of Johns Hopkins University with a masterâs in biomedical engineering. He is employed as a software engineer by Northrup Grumman.
Following a wedding trip to Siesta Key, Fla., the couple is at home in Lincolnshire, England.
