Occupation: I got a BS in environmental science from Binghamton University in New York. Basically, I learned about a lot of different aspects of nature. I love the outdoors - if I could live in the outdoors, I would. I am going back to ski instructing this month. I enjoy ski instructing, because even in the coldest seasons of the year I get to be outside everyday and teach people. I've been skiing since I was 5 years old, so over 16 years.

Family: My mom and dad are both architects. My dad is an engineer, as well. My parents work together at their company, PW Scott Associates. I am one of four children. Spencer is the oldest, he turned 25 in June. He lives in Boston and works in finance. My sister, Tressa, is 21 years old and also lives in Boston. She's in her fourth year at Northeastern for mechanical engineering. Brenton, who is 20, is studying finance in Delaware. He just got an internship in New York City for the summer.

Pets: We have one pet, but he's looked at as one of the children, so he's like a brother. Nico is 8 years old and is just a ball of energy. He looks and acts like a puppy still. He's so playful. He's a genuinely good spirit. He's my dad's best friend - they go on runs every morning together and play fetch everyday at lunch, since he goes to the office with my parents. If Nico could, he would go swimming everyday. He's getting used to kayaking, too. He's becoming adventure dog. He fits in perfectly with our family.

How long have you lived in Newtown? My dad has owned our house for 28 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? Recently, I've been doing a lot of hiking and kayaking with Nico. I also enjoy art, and I have been working on one painting for a couple years for my brother. It's the largest canvas I've every used. It's a picture of a woman and a full moon with a reflection on a lake.

Do you have a favorite book? The Language of Flowers. It enters you into a world you never knew was there. Every flower has a couple characteristics or words it represents. It is a fictional book, but the actual language is a real thing.

What is your favorite travel destination? The Dandenong Mountain Range in Australia. It was the most incredible place I have ever seen. It had huge trees and the forest grounds had giant ferns. I stayed at my cousin's friend's house and her porch overlooked all the greenery below. Also, in my lifetime I need to go to Denmark, because my Bestamor (grandmother) was from there. I want to see where she grew up.

What is the best thing about Newtown? The amount of nature. The fact that there are so many places to hike and explore always gave my family something to do when I was growing up.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My parents. My mom was always pushing me to pursue academics and create art, and my dad had always been the person to tell me to go on adventures and live your life and see the world. They taught us all to be level-headed, but also spontaneous.

If you could choose one person to spend the day with, who would you choose? There's a lot of famous people that would be cool to meet, like the Rolling Stones, but I would still choose my Bestamor, because I have so many questions I would still want to ask her. I'd also ask her to tell me stories. She was one of the best storytellers I have ever met.

What is your favorite TV show? Stranger Things is number one, and then White Collar.

Never be too caught up in something, because you know that once you finally get that out of your head you've missed so much by focusing on that one thing. Be present everyday. What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given?
