Cookbook Author At Library

Connecticut author, Ann Hodgman will visit the C.H. Booth Library, Tuesday, November 3, at 7 pm, to discuss her cookbook, Beat This!. A combination of irresistible recipes and hilarious prose, Ann Hodgman throws down the gauntlet, with more than 100 recipes that she guarantees to be better than anyone else’s. Ms Hodgman doesn’t claim to come up with original recipes — “ I can’t just walk into the kitchen and improvise a brilliant new dish. But I can figure out how to improve a recipe. I just double the chocolate and add some bacon,” she said.

Ms Hodgman is the author of more than 40 children’s books, several humor books, and two other cookbooks, Beat That, and One Bite Won’t Kill You. She has also written articles for the New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Gourmet, Food & Wine, and many women’s and parenting magazines.
