Katharine Benson, NHS Class of 2003, received her bachelor’s degree in graphic media publishing from Rochester Institute of Technology. Katharine, daughter of Carol Benson of Sandy Hook and the late Gary C. Benson, graduated with honors and has taken a position as a data coordinator at Airage Media in Wilton.

William Culligan, son of Sheila and Neil Culligan of 19 Sturges Road, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana.

Elizabeth V. Robilotti, daughter of Gerard and Martha Robilotti, was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree by New York Medical College, Valhalla, N.Y. Dr Robilotti will complete her residency in internal medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, New York City. She has earned a bachelor of arts, master’s in public health, and master’s in philosophy from Columbia University.

Timothy A. Robinson, son of Catherine and Charles Robinson of Sandy Hook, received a bachelor of arts degree in English from St Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y. Tim graduated from Newtown High School with the Class of 2003.

Rachel M. Dapp, NHS Class of 2003, graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in marine biology from Feinstein College of Arts and Sciences at Roger Williams University, Bristol, R.I. Rachel, a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society, will work this summer as a park naturalist at the Narragansett Bay National Estuary Research Reserve on Prudence Island, R.I.

Caitlin Hansen, NHS Class of 2006, has been named to the Dean’s List of the Academic Center for Exploratory Students at the University of Connecticut for the spring semester.

David Kiley of Newtown received a bachelor’s of business administration degree from Western Connecticut State University.

Douglas Bonjour, NHS Class of 2004, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y. Douglas, a senior at Hofstra, is majoring in communications with a concentration in print journalism.

Eileen P. Honan, NHS Class of 2003, received a bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Scranton.

Rebecca L. Pennucci received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Scranton.

Kaitlyn Murphy, NHS Class of 2004, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Georgia Tech, Atlanta.

Erin Beckman, NHS Class of 2004, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Syracuse University, College of Arts and Sciences, Syracuse, N.Y. Erin is a junior majoring in communication sciences and disorders.

Jessica Horvath, NHS Class of 2003, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Syracuse University, College of Arts and Sciences, Syracuse, N.Y. Jessica is a senior majoring in communication sciences and disorders.

Rosemary Ziemann, NHS Class of 2003, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Syracuse University, College of Visual and Performing Arts. Rosemary is a senior majoring in interior design.

Sean Patrick O’Mahoney, son of Kevin and Jane O’Mahoney, graduated from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Penn., with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.

Elizabeth Boushell received a bachelor of science degree in visual arts education from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Wendy Borst, NHS Class of 2005, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Temple University, Philadelphia, School of Communications and Theater. Wendy is a photojournalism major.

Jennifer Truchsess, NHS Class of 2006, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at the University of Connecticut, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Nicholas Mentesana, NHS Class of 2005, has been named to the Honor’s List for the spring semester at the University of Missouri~Rolla. Nicholas is majoring in electrical engineering.

Boston College announces the following Newtown/Sandy Hook residents have graduated this spring: Matthew Cullinan, bachelor of arts in theater arts and English; Caitlyn Elf, bachelor of arts in communication; Caitlin Graboski, bachelor of arts in human development; Brandon Russell, bachelor of science in biology.

Edward Small, a student at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Penn., was recently inducted into the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Edward, NHS Class of 2006, is the son of Stephen and Susan Small of Sandy Hook.

Canterbury School in New Milford announces the following Newtown/Sandy Hook students have been named to the honor role for the fifth marking period: Highest Honors: Briana Berg, Lisa Favicchia, and Amanda LaPorta; Honors: Kyle Ekstrom, Meridith Palo, and Jaime Vavrek.

Syracuse University, School of Architecture, announces the following Newtown students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester: Erin Delohery and Elana Tenenbaum. Erin and Elana are both seniors majoring in architecture.

Erin Clark, daughter of Bill and Pat Clark, Steck Drive, is a recipient of the Dean’s Award for academic excellence during the spring semester at Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y. Erin, NHS Class of 2006, is concentrating in Spanish and plays Division I Field Hockey at Colgate.

Lindsey Elizabeth Malloy, daughter of Jane and John Malloy of Newtown, received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Mo. Dr Malloy, NHS Class of 1998, received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Providence College, Providence, R.I., and a master of public health from Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, N.H.

The Gunnery, Washington, announces the following Newtown students have earned a place on the honor roll for the entire academic year: Benjamin Greenfield, high honors, Jared Kloth and Shelby Sisco, honors.

The following residents were named to the Dean’s List at Central Connecticut State University for the spring semester: Lauren Bucci, Aaron Ford, Colleen Gugino, Benjamin Nagy, and Matthew Pellicone.

Lindsey Coyle, NHS Class of 2005, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Quinnipiac University, Hamden. Lindsey is a nursing major.
