Kathryn Zaharek To Neil Johnson

Rose Marie and John F. Zaharek of Newtown announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth, to Neil Christopher Johnson, son of Paula and Daniel Johnson of Redding.

The future bride is a graduate of Newtown High School Class of 1990. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and a master’s in library science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is a librarian at The Freedom Forum in Arlington, Va.

The future groom is a 1990 graduate of Joel Barlow High School in Redding. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. He is with the Department of State Police in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

An October wedding is planned.
