Head O' Meadow Elementary School music teacher Cynthia Holberg led her fourth grade students in a concert assembly for the school during the day on Thursday, April 28.

The fourth graders went on to sing their Spring Concert for parents, family, and friends during the evening on Wednesday, May 4.

"Today we have a special preview just for you," said Head O' Meadow lead teacher Carol Danenberg before the assembly began.

The fourth graders, Ms Danenberg said, have worked hard to practice for their Spring Concert with Ms Holberg.

For the assembly, the whole school gathered into the cafetorium to see and hear the fourth graders play songs on their recorders and sing songs, like "I am Fire," "Gospel Train," and "Come, Lovely Spring." The students also performed "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Rigadoon," and "Ode to Joy" on their recorders.

Newtown Middle School music teacher Jonathan Pope accompanied the students on the piano as they sang.
