Esty To Hold Small Business Affordable Care Act Workshop, Tuesday In Danbury
DANBURY — Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty will be holding a second constituent service workshop to inform small businesses about the benefits the Affordable Care Act offers them and their employees on Tuesday evening.
Representatives from Access Health CT, the US Department of Labor, and the US Small Business Administration along with Congresswoman Esty and members of her staff will be available to answer questions and provide information to help small business owners purchase affordable health insurance.
The workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 pm. It will be in the City Council Chambers of Danbury City Hall (third floor), 155 Deer Hill Avenue.
Connecticut residents can begin purchasing health insurance through Access Health CT, Connecticut’s official health insurance marketplace, on October 1. Small businesses may purchase health insurance on Access Health CT’s Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace and may be eligible for small business tax credits depending on the number of full-time equivalent positions.
Constituents can make reservations or get additional information by sending email to Matt Abdifar at matt.abdifar@mail.house.gov or by calling 860-223-8412.
