Richard C. Hensel, 45, of Southbury, died unexpectedly January 7. He was the husband of Kristen (Poklemba) Hensel. Mr Hensel was born November 24, 1963, in Danbury, son of Ruth Ann Hensel of Newtown and the late Kenneth Hensel.

He was employed by J.F. Walsh Logging and Mulch in Newtown. Besides his wife and mother, other survivors include a brother, Craig Hensel and girlfriend, Melissa, of Newtown; and a sister, Patricia Powers and husband, Steve, of Newtown.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury CT 06488.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ryker S. Hensel Fund, in care of the funeral home.
