Kimberly & Daniel West

Kimberly Ryan Solheim and Daniel Craig West were married Sunday, September 4, 2011, at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Newtown by Monsignor Robert Weiss. The bride is the daughter of Janis and Peter Solheim of Sandy Hook. The groom is the son of Cheryl and Gary West of Rutland, Vt.

Shelley Solheim, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Shannon Solheim and Renee Solheim, sisters of the bride, and Abigail Atkinson and Carol Ann Smith were bridesmaids. Gary West, Jr, brother of the groom, was best man. Christopher Keune and Matthew Keune, brothers of the groom, and Brett Porter, Benjamin Burton, and George Pascale were groomsmen.

Kimberly wore an ivory English net strapless gown that featured a tucked bodice with embellished band, full A-line skirt with lace motifs and lace scallop at hem with a chapel trail.

A reception followed at The Heritage Hotel in Southbury.

Kimberly West graduated from Newtown High School in 2006, and then from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., in 2010, with a bachelor of science in mathematics. She is currently in the Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, to be followed by training in Texas for the field of analytical scientist.

Daniel West graduated from Rutland High School in 2003 and joined the United States Air Force in May 2004. He is a weapons specialist in the 94th AMU currently stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va. In April, he will be stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Following a honeymoon in Jamaica and until their current Air Force assignments, the couple is residing in Newport News, Va.
