NSB Participates With Equity Builder Program

For the second year in a row, Newtown Savings Bank is participating with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program (EBP). 

The program is designed to expand homeownership opportunities for income-eligible homebuyers by providing grants up to $10,000.  EBP funds may be applied toward the down payment, closing costs, or property rehabilitation, and may be used in conjunction with other programs.

2011 EBP recipients Nadine and Daniel Karlinsky were featured in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s quarterly Results magazine. 

The Karlinskys received a $5,000 grant from the FHLB’s Equity Builder Program to assist with closing costs for the purchase of their first home in Shelton.
