To the Editor:

On behalf of the Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity, I would like to thank everyone who helped with and attended our second annual wine tasting fundraiser. The proceeds from this successful fundraiser will benefit the FAITH food pantry, SHOP's annual scholarship for a Sandy Hook business student, and will be used to bring all the great events that go on in Sandy Hook Center to the community free of charge.

Thanks to all of our fine restaurants who supplied the food for the event - Figs, the Foundry, the Iron Bridge, the Hook, Sandy Hook Deli and Catering, and the Villa. Thanks to Kathy Mendes of Sandy Hook Wine & Liquors for arranging the wine tasting, and to Dichello Distributors for the beer tasting. Thanks to everyone who donated silent auction items, especially our 'live' auction items - US Senator Chris Murphy, Dr. John Reed, Pat Llodra, and Monsignor Robert Weiss. Thanks to Jim Chillington for his art work. Thanks to John Voket for his musical prowess, and to the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., for their use of the firehouse.
