Devoted To Family

Ann Epifano Avallon, 92, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Edward A. Avallon, died March 12, surrounded by her family, in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Castiglione, Italy, June 16, 1919, she was a daughter of John, Sr, and Grace Martino Epifano.

Three sons, including Richard T. Avallon, and his wife Sharon, of Newtown, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four siblings, and many nieces and nephews survive Mrs Avallon.

Mrs Avallon worked for People’s Bank and the former D.M. Read’s of Bridgeport. She was past president of the Women’s Confraternity at St Patrick’s Church.

A dedicated mother, she enjoyed painting, art, and sewing, and found great enjoyment in spending time with her family and friends at her summer beach house in Lordship in Stratford.

A Memorial Mass was scheduled for Friday, March 16, at 10:30 am, in St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, Hospice Care, 267 Grant Street, Bridgeport CT 06610 or Vitas Hospice, 99 Hawley Lane, Suite 1204, Stratford CT 06614.
