Evelyn P. Cullen

Evelyn (Peck) Cullen, 89, of Stratford, wife of the late Irving L. Cullen, died on July 14 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stratford.

Born in Newtown, Mrs Cullen has been a Stratford resident for more than 60 years. She was a longtime member of the Stratford Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Richard Cullen, Irving Cullen, Jr, and James and Robert Cullen; five daughters, Evelyn Croteau, Ethel Timpanelli, Dorothy Gosart, Linda MacLannan and Kathleen Cordisco; 35 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Cullen was pre-deceased by her son, William Cullen.

A funeral service was held on July 17 in the Stratford Baptist Church with the Rev Robert Genevicz, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.

The Spear, Dennis & D’Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford was in charge of arrangements.
