Robert Arthur Benoit

Loved To Laugh

Robert Arthur Benoit, 56, died suddenly January 1, at Greenwich Hospital. He was born in Greenwich, April 4, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of Cos Cob, graduating from Greenwich High School, Class of 1971. His parents, Arthur N. Benoit and Marion Conlon Benoit, predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jennifer Clausi Benoit; two brothers, including Timothy and his wife, Virginia, of Newtown; four children; and ten nieces and nephews.

During his 30-year career at Sikorsky Aircraft, Mr Benoit filled roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in his position of quality assurance specialist, working both domestically and abroad.

He recently rebuilt an antique Triumph bike and a small classic scooter. He loved cooking and his culinary skills were appreciated by friends and family. He accentuated these gatherings with his infectious good nature. Mr Benoit was able to see the humor in the world around him and in himself. He respected learning and was knowledgeable in many areas of personal interest.

Funeral services were held, January 5. Interment will be private.
