Newtown High School standout wrestler Anthony Falbo - make that national standout grappler Falbo - announced on October 27 that he will continue his career on the mats at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

That's good news for the high school competition since Falbo has been thoroughly dominant in his weight division. The bad news for the opposition: Falbo still has a season to go until he graduates from Newtown High School in 2017.

Falbo, who wrestled in the 152-, 170-, and 182-pound weight divisions in his freshman, sophomore, and junior years, respectively, is a three-time South-West Conference, State Class LL, and State Open champion. He has also won New England and national championships.
