Why Stab A Friend

In The Back?

To the Editor:

I have just finished reading Dom Nocturne’s letter [“Time to End Aid to Israel,” Letter Hive, 2/25/11]. I find his comments very upsetting due to the fact that (1) Israel is an a friend and ally, and (2) Israel is the only democratic country in the geographic area.

If this decision is strictly on dollars and cents, lets pull our troops out of Germany, South Korea, or Japan. They have the manpower and “treasure” to defend themselves, but Israel does not.

Stabbing a friend in the back is something that is out of the question. Is this the definition of Hope and Change?
