Kara Dooling and David Murcko

Joan and William Lavery of Newtown and Eileen and Edward Dooling, Jr, of Naugatuck announce the engagement of their children, Kara Eileen Dooling and David John Murcko II. Mr Murcko is the son of the late David John Murcko Sr.

Kara, a resident of Naugatuck, is a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She is also a graduate of Seton Hall, having completed her studies there, magna cum laude, with a degree in education; and of Baruch College in New York, where she earned a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology.

She is employed in the human resources department at Bessemer Trust in New York City.

David, who lives in Newtown, is a 1999 graduate of Shelton High School. He continued his studies at the University of Connecticut, where he majored in accounting and earned a degree in business administration, and then earned a master’s in accounting. He is an associate in the merchant banking group of Morgan Stanley, New York City.

A May 2008 wedding is being planned.
