Thomas A.     Peterson

Devoted Husband, Friend And Family Member

Thomas Anthony Peterson, 35, of Newtown, died at Danbury Hospital April 11 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones through it all.

Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Bethel, Mr Peterson was an avid Boy Scout with Troop 54 and his love of hiking, camping, and being outdoors carried him through the years. He taught his four stepchildren all about the love of the great outdoors. He was a devoted husband and was a wonderful family man who loved his four children very much.

His passions were wolves, hawks, music, trains and he was a computer expert. He was a graduate of Immaculate High School, Class of 1988, and had attended Western Connecticut State University. Mr Peterson was employed at Greenfield Online in Wilton, was devoted to his job and co-workers, and loved the challenges he was presented to at work. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.

Mr Peterson is survived by his wife, Lucille (Lucy) Picard Peterson; one daughter, Aline Marie of Brookfield, three sons, Andrew DiGuiseppi of Bridgewater, Joseph DiGuiseppi of Danbury, and Richard DiGuiseppi of Boston; mother-in-law, Maria Picard of Ridgefield; his loving parents, Thomas and Doris Peterson of Bethel; his brother, Michael Peterson and his wife, Kristine, and goddaughter Caitlyn Peterson; and many extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 18 at St Mary Church, Bethel. Cremation and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
