Open Casting For ‘Mame’

WATERBURY — The Stage II Community Theatre division of Seven Angels Theatre is seeking cast members, chorus members and dancers for this season’s community theatre production of Mame. There will be an open casting call on Sunday, June 11, from 6 to 9 pm, and on Thursday, June 15, from 7 to 9 pm.

Auditions will be at Seven Angels Theatre, Hamilton Park, Plank Road in Waterbury.

Those interested in auditioning should bring a short vocal selection and sheet music or a tape. Score selections from Mame will be available. Those auditioning for reading parts should be prepared to read from the play’s script. No vocal experience is necessary to be in the chorus.

It is suggested that those auditioning bring a headshot and resume if available. Many roles are available for adults and young adults, primarily age 16 and up.

The Stage II Production of Mame is being directed by Tom Chute, with musical direction by Richard De Rosa and choreography by Nefra Sullivan. Production dates are September 8-10 and 15-17, at Seven Angels Theatre. Call Jessica Grover at 203/591-8223 for more information.
