Newtown Road Race

The clock is running. It’s almost race day. If you still would like to participate in the 2nd Annual Newtown Road Race and Praxair Kids’ Fun Run, it’s not too late. Preregistration will take place both Thursday and Friday, August 30 and 31, at the New Balance Store, located in the new Big Y shopping center in Bethel. Time will be from 11 am to 7 pm both days. If you can’t make it to New Balance, registration will be open the day of the race. Preregistration price is $20 and race day is $25. Kids pay their age up to 10. Goodie bags for all racers and medals for the kids!  To register, call NYFS at 270-4335.

 Youth Programs

Sibshops will meet on Monday, September 10, from 5 to 6 pm.

Children of Divorce will meet on Monday, September 10, from 6 to 7 pm.

 Support Groups

Hope and Support meets Mondays, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Parents or caregivers with questions or concerns about a child’s possible or confirmed substance use or abuse are welcome to attend this group. The Hope Group will not meet on school holidays, school breaks, or snow days.

Grandparents/Caregivers meets every Wednesday from noon to 1:30 at NYFS.

Autism Group will resume meeting on Thursdays, beginning September 6 at 7 pm.
