Marybeth Anne Garofalo to Matthew Jon D’Amico

James and Kathleen Garofalo of Brookfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Marybeth Anne Garofalo, to Matthew Jon D’Amico, son of Peter and Marie D’Amico of Newtown.

The future bride graduated from Brookfield High School in 1995 and is currently seeking a master’s degree in special education from Fairfield University. She graduated with a bachelor of science in elementary education from Western Connecticut State University in 2000. She is a third grade teacher at Huckleberry Hill School in Brookfield.

The future groom graduated from Newtown High School in 1993 and from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor of science in business management. He is a product manager at Bulk Material International.

A New Year’s Eve wedding is planned.
