Becoming A Single-Issue Voter

To the Editor:

Life is busy.  We all have families, jobs, hobbies, friends, homes, sports….and on and on.  At times, we are weary from being residents of Newtown, where the burden of loss we have suffered is too much.  But last night I heard a horrific news story about yet another tragedy involving a gun in Florida, and I am reminded to stay focused on working to tighten this nation’s shamefully lax gun laws.

If it seems like nothing is changing, even after daily tragedies, then the upcoming election in November is the time to be heard. So, in light of overwhelmingly busy lives, I’d suggest that a simple and easy way to make a difference is to be a single-issue voter.  I know that there are many other issues to consider other than gun laws, but for me, right now, there is nothing more important.  Please vote.
