Mr and Mrs Richard L. Scinto, Jr

Terri Lynn Whitman and Richard Louis Scinto, Jr, were joined in marriage on June 23 at the Newtown Meeting House with Justice of the Peace Cheryl Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Donald B. Hotchkiss, Sr, and Marjorie J. Hotchkiss of Oxford.

The groom is the son of Richard L. Scinto, Sr, of Shelton and the late Carol Ann Scinto.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory Mori Lee dress, decorated with crystals, and seed pearls and carried a bouquet of long stem yellow roses.

The bride was attended by her mother, Marjorie J. Hotchkiss, as matron of honor.

The best man was the groom’s father, Richard L. Scinto, Sr.

Flower girls were Samantha Upson and Kathryn Upson of Oxford, nieces of the bride. The ring bearer, a nephew of the groom, was David Crawford, Jr, of Tampa, Fla.

The bride graduated from Seymour High School in 1982 and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. She is a regional business manager for Charter Media in Sandy Hook.

The groom graduated from Shelton High School in 1982 and Bridgeport University. He is a tool and die maker for Connecticut Coining in Bethel.

The reception was held at The Inn at Newtown.

Following a wedding trip to Cape Cod, Mr and Mrs Scinto are residing in Sandy Hook.
