Dental Associates Welcomes Elsa George As Newest Partner

Dental Associates of Connecticut, with offices in Newtown, Danbury, New Milford, and Trumbull, recently announced that Dr Elsa George, a general dentist who joined the Newtown office staff in 2007, has become the group’s 20th partner.

In 1997, while volunteering in the dental clinic at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., assisting the oral surgeons and general dentists on staff, she realized that she loved dentistry and would pursue it as her career. She continued to volunteer at the dental clinic while attending dental school.

Dr George completed her undergraduate work at Pace University in New York, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a minor in fine arts. She then earned her doctor of dental surgery (DDS) at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, also in New York. Dr George next served her general practice residency where it all began for her — at the Westchester Medical Center.

She began her professional career in 2003 in Fairfield, and joined the staff of Dental Associates in early 2007. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Women Dentists (AAWD).

Besides caring for her young son, Dr George loves to paint, sew and knit.
