Newtown-based TUV Rheinland of North America recently named Deep Krishnan vice president of operations. Mr Krishnan previously served as TUV Rheinland’s director of sales and marketing.

“We are very pleased to name Deep as our new vice president of operations,” says Stephan Schmitt, president and CEO of TUV Rheinland of North America. “Since he joined TUV Rheinland of North America in 1996, Deep has become a trusted member of our family and has an intimate knowledge of our many products and services and is known by our staff in all of our offices throughout North America.”

Mr Krishnan, who resides in Trumbull, holds a BS in mechanical engineering, an MBA, and has worked in the oil industry, owned a marketing and business consulting firm, and an import/export business.

TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TÜV Rheinland Group, a world leader in compliance testing and certification, management system auditing and certification, field evaluation services, and consumer product services. The company serves most industry sectors and markets worldwide.

When Mr Krishnan joined the company in 1996, he first served as its national sales representative. Over the next few years, he traveled throughout North America, building up the sales force to support TUV Rheinland’s many offices and expanding service lines throughout the continent.

In 2003 he was named director of sales and the position was expanded to director of sales and marketing in 2004.

“Deep’s extensive background in sales, marketing, and management is the perfect combination for his new position as vice president of operations,” says Mr Schmitt. “All of at TUV Rheinland look forward to working with him to grow our customer base and expand the products we can offer our clients.”
