Ruth Theresa Peters, 89, of Nunnawauk Meadows, died March 8, in Danbury Hospital. Mrs Peters was widow of John Peters. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., September 20, 1920, a daughter of Alfred and Theresa (Simonair) Boehm.

Mrs Peters lived in Long Beach, Calif., for many years, and was an office administrator for the McKesson Corporation until her retirement. She moved to Newtown in 1995 to be near her sister, the late Florence Blomberg.

Mrs Peters is survived by a daughter, Susan Wright and her husband, Gary, of Dayton, Nev.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a beloved aunt of three, including Peter Blomberg of Newtown.

She had many friends at Nunnawauk Meadows. She enjoyed playing cards and being with family. She loved having company.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 13, at 11 am, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, March 11, from 5 to 8 pm.
