It's Opening Night For 'Beauty And The Beast'
Newtown High School's production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast is running Wednesday, March 16, to Sunday, March 20.Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a selfish and unkind young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end. But time is running out. The performance schedule at the high school, 12 Berkshire Road, is Wednesday, March 16, through Saturday, March 19, at 7 pm; and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $14 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will be soldÃÂ at the door for showings if available.
A Fairy Tale Breakfast is also being held on Saturday from 10 am until noon in the school's cafetorium for children and their families to greet characters from the production. Breakfast will be prepared and served by the high school's culinary students. Children are welcome to wear costumes to the event. Tickets for the Fairy Tale Breakfast are $15 per person, and there are only 150 tickets available.
