To the Editor:

We strongly endorse Matt Cole for state representative in the 106th District.  Matt is not new to serving Newtown.  He is currently a member of the Newtown Community Emergency Response Team. For many years, Matt has been an active participant in AmeriCares Homefront projects and the Newtown Ecumenical Work Camp.

Matt supports the Connecticut gun legislation passed in the wake of our local tragedy.  As gun sense voters, we appreciate Matt’s commitment to support the Connecticut gun legislation.  His background in social work also gives him a perspective on mental health issues.

We need a representative who will vote for the interests of our community. 

Matt also recognizes the importance of economic development and creating opportunities for Connecticut while stressing the need to make our government more efficient. 

As a lifelong resident of Newtown, Matt is committed to our community. He will be an advocate for our town and for issues important to our region.  Please vote on November 4th for Matt Cole, State Representative, 106th district.
