Freeman McNeil To Sign Autographs In Sandy Hook

On July 9, Legendary New York Jet running back Freeman McNeil will be at the grand opening of Ice Cream Heaven in Sandy Hook Center to sign autographs from 2 to 4 pm.

McNeil starred for the Jets for an impressive 12 years and was a three-time Pro Bowl selection. He amassed more than 8,000 rushing yards and had an amazing 4.5-yard-per-carry career average. He is one of the few backs in history to average more than 4.0 yards per carry in every NFL season he played.

Freeman played his college football at UCLA, where he was a two-time All Pac 10 selection.

During this time of NFL lockout, it is interesting to note that it was Freeman who was responsible for creating free agency for the players.

Ice Cream Heaven is at 10 Glen Road in Sandy Hook Center.
