9/11 Commemoration Planned
At The Meeting House
In observance of the second anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, a group of area residents will be gathering at the Newtown Meeting House on Main Street at 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 11, according to Jim Allen of Main Street, an organizer of the event.
The meeting will begin with several moments of silence, followed by a reading of an article by Gail Sheehy that recently appeared in the New York Observer. The article details the efforts of four 9/11 widows trying to ascertain the truth of what happened on 9/11.
The reading will be followed by open discussion. Those attending are welcome to bring their own food or drink for the downstairs room. There is no admission fee or requested donation.
If time allows, there will also be a partial reading of a 9/11 timeline that raises serious questions.
The article by Gail Sheehy may be found online at www.nyobserver.com/pages/frontpage3.asp.
