Elwood C.     Stanley, Jr

Elwood Charles Stanley, Jr, of Hendersonville, N.C., died December 12.

Mr Stanley was born in Bridgeport and was a Trumbull resident for most of his life. He was the former co-owner of Curtis Packaging Company of Newtown.

Mr Stanley was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a graduate of Franklin Marshall College of Lancaster, Penn. He also taught English at Avon Old Farm School and was a former police officer in Avon. He was the son of the late Elwood Charles and Joyce (Corbit) Stanley, Sr.

Survivors include his son, Jefry Roger Stanley and his wife, Holly, of Monroe; his daughter, Kristin C. Stanley of Pittsburgh, Penn.; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Stanley; and his beloved dog, Ollie.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 30, at 2 pm, in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

Friends may call on Saturday, from 1 pm until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Connecticut, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-3294.
