Taunton Press 10, Nuzzo Electric 9: Taunton Press pulled out a late game win over Nuzzo Electric in an offensive showdown between the two teams on Wednesday night. The Taunton Press bats came alive with Brooke Kinsey, Julia Minchak and Madelyn Twitchell, all hitting 3 for 3 and Jillian Clure driving in the game winning run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Allison Hechler, Nicole Fisher, Samantha Vertucci, Olivia Bonacci and Carol Ann Scinto also had multiple base hits for Taunton Press. Tessa Bigwarfe played well defensively at second base, and Julia Minchak was strong at the pitcherâs mound with two strikeouts. For Nuzzo Electric, Lauren Haynes had a triple and drove in four runs. Emily Longo, Carly Nuzzo and Gina Lewis each had two hits and scored two runs. Lenie Urbina pitched well, and Victoria Chop played well in the field. Emma Archiere had a single and scored one run.
New England Bounce About 10, Nuzzo Electric 7: Nuzzo Electricâs Melina Cummings, Carly Nuzzo and Ava Berry each had three hits and scored two runs. Lenie Urbina pitched well, and Oliva Nikolis and Lily Braun played well in the field. Emily Longo had a single and scored one run.

Newtown Hardware 6, Associated Refuse 1: Charlize Marrazzo and Olivia Grant had big RBI singles to lead Newtown Hardware to victory and both received game balls. Heather Stroili, Beth Savinelli, Julie Hess, Viginia Hepp (triple), Shauna Tucker, Ally Hurley and Tess Trahan provided key hits in the last inning to break open a tie game. It was a total team effort led by the dynamic pitching duo of Heather Stroili and Beth Savinelli, by hurling several shutout innings. For Associated Refuse, Sienna Cummings, Brianna Giglio and Veronica Vodola each had a single. Giglio, Vodola and Taylor McPadden pitched well. Associated Refuse had some key plays in the field including a double play.
Stone River Grille 3, Newtown Hardware 0: Newtown Hardwareâs Heather Stroili pitched two strong and scoreless innings, securing three strikeouts. Tess Trahan and Ally Hurley both hit singles and made great plays in the field, Trahan in left field and Hurley in right field, to prevent runners from scoring. Shauna Tucker and Beth Savinelli hit crucial doubles to put runners in scoring position for the Hardware.

Wellbaskets.com 14, Blueline Designs 7: Rachel OâGrady, Madalynn Giglio, Jackie Gouveia and Nicki DaPra all had two singles apiece in this high-scoring game. Tegan Doherty pitched the final innings for the win.
Claim Services International 10, Brookfield 8: Claim Services International rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to defeat Brookfield. Sarah Dowling, Emma McGrath and Briana Castellano all participated in nice defensive plays to limit Brookfieldâs offense. Joy Metzger and Kaysie Fisher were key contributors to the offense, knocking in three runs and two runs, respectively.
Claim Services International 10, Brookfield 10: Claim Services International and Brookfield finished in a tie. Claim Servicesâ Samantha Black made her pitching debut and had a great showing. The team recorded its first double play of the season when catcher Joy Metzger caught a pop up and then doubled up a runner at first base. Sarah Dowling had a nice run-scoring single in the teamâs five-run second inning.
U12 Travel
Shoreline Sting 13, Hawks 1
Jackie Gouveia had the only hit in this very tough game against the Shoreline Sting. Overall, the Hawks looked good defensively, but were overwhelmed by their opponentsâ relentless bats. Allie Eurell had a great game at second base with three assists and a put out. Jenna Carvalho made a fantastic catch in center.
