Jennifer Leavitt & Garrett Tietjen

Jennifer Leavitt and Garrett Tietjen were married at the Chapel of the Snows in southern Vermont on Saturday, July 30, 2011. The reception was held at Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home, in Manchester, Vt.

The groom is the son of Mary and Ron Tietjen of Newtown, and the bride is the daughter of Tina and Ken Leavitt of Middlefield, Conn.

Jenny’s maid of honor was Leah Prokop of Greenland, N.H., and her bridesmaids were Vivian Leavitt of Middlefield, Kristen Alberti of  Farmington, and Emily Bottomley of Charlestown, Mass.

Garrett’s best man was his brother, Derek Tietjen of Little Silver, N.J. His groomsmen were Travis Tietjen of Westmont, Ill., and Justin Tietjen of Silverthorne, Colo.

Garrett is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and will be attending Babson College this fall in the MBA program. He has worked in hospitality management for the past ten years.

Jennifer graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., and works on the consulting support staff for the Private Equity Group at Bain & Co.

The couple met four years ago through a mutual friend. They currently reside in South Natick Mass., outside Boston.
