Clarifications

In July 2009, Police Commission members informed the Board of Selectmen that the commission would prefer that a proposed sidewalk along the southern section of Queen Street be built on the east side of Queen Street. An article in last week’s edition of The Bee [“Town Seeks $500,000 Grant For Sidewalk Design / Construction”] quoted town Director of Planning and Land Use George Benson as saying Police Commission’s preferred location for a sidewalk was the west side of Queen Street. While the quote was accurate, the assertion in it was incorrect.
