Robert T.         Jossick, Sr
Robert T. Jossick, Sr, 69, of Stratford, beloved husband of Ruth Ann (Langan) Jossick, died January 28 at his home with his loving family at his side. Mr Jossick was born January 8, 1936, in Bridgeport, son of the late Louis and Helen (Murzyn) Jossick, and had been a lifetime area resident.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children and their spouses, Gregory and Libby Jossick Newtown, Jeff and Cindy Jossick of Orange, Gary and Sandy Jossick of Stratford, Nancy Jossick and James Papp of Stratford, and Carol and David Campbell of Milford; three brothers, Gerald Jossick of Newtown, James Jossick of New Haven, and Raymond Jossick of Stratford; 12 grandchildren, Maureen, Robert, and Patricia Jossick, Thomas, William, and Laura Campbell, Matthew, Meghan, Daniel, and Deborah Jossick, Christopher Jossick, and Dana Jossick; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Madison; one sister-in-law, Patricia Smith of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Robert T. Jossick, Jr, and one sister, Nancy Moran.
Mr Jossick was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and the cofounder of Connecticut Engineering Associates. He was an active member of St James Church in Stratford, and served as a eucharistic minister and a lector of the church. He was also a member and enjoyed singing with the Resurrection Choir, especially Irish songs.
A funeral service was held February 1 at William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street in Stratford, and in St James Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
