Missionary Work In Africa
Mission work and the African mission field today is the topic of an upcoming presentation by Dr Herbert Prawius, a specialist in tropical and internal medicine and a medical missionary to East Africa, to be held at Community Presbyterian Church, at the Newtown Meeting House, at 6 pm on Sunday, June 13.
Dr Prawius will present an overview of missions work, especially as it is taking place in Uganda. For those interested in overseas missions, particularly in medical mission work, or who are interested in current advances in Africa, this is an opportunity to learn firsthand about work and life in the region, and especially about helping those in need of even the simplest medical care.
For the past year, Dr Prawius has been on furlough with his wife, Maria, and four children and has traveled the country giving talks on the current state of missions. For more information, contact Pastor Robert Tarullo at 270-3730.
Community Presbyterian Church meets in the Newtown Meeting House on Main Street, by the flagpole.
