Girls U14

Ridgefield 2, Newtown 1 (CT Cup) – Sarah Shannon scored the lone Newtown goal in the penalty shootout loss. Natalie Villa, Cara Colacurcio and goalie Emily Kluga were outstanding on defense.

Hurricanes 2, Danbury 2 – Kelley Sullivan scored a pair of goals to lift the Hurricanes into a draw with Danbury. Jen Brewer notched an assist as Adelle Ceretta, Emily Weber, Sara Feinstein and Erin Nemeth played well.

Boys U13

Southbury 5, Newtown 2 – Collin Jacob and Adam Buccino scored the only goals in a Newtown loss. Goaltender Danny Clement anchored the defense behind Ben Mahony, Ben Miles and Matt Slattery.

Boys U12

Strikers 10, Oxford 1 (State Cup) – Daniel Lynch scored three goals and Eric Thornberg added two to lead the Strikers to the win. Kyle Wildman, Aaron Nezvesky, Kyle Moore, Tony Vacaro and Ishan Tatake all scored as Max Brazo, Michael Gould and Daniel Hufziger all played well.

Strikers 6, New Milford 1 – Eric Thornberg scored two goals as Daniel Lynch, Josh Engler, Mike Carrafiello and Kyle Moore each added a solo goal to lead the Strikers. Tony Vacaro anchored the defense while Ryan Pasko, Alex Miller and Nicolas Wright all played well.

Girls U10

Flash 2, Middlebury 0 – Brittany Tolla and Kristiana Engler scored the goals to lead the Flash to the win. Jenna Hindes, Morgan Kirol and Tressa Scott anchored the defense in front of goaltenders Melissa Buccino and Kelly Brooks.

Boys U14

Woodchucks 2, Blue Monkeys 0 – Joe Christiano scored two goals while Evan Batzer notched an assist to lead the Woodchucks to the win. Mike Hajzer and Brian White played strong defense. For the Blue Monkeys, Max Baudisch, Jacob Barrett, and Nathan Barrett all played solid games.

Girls U14

Pink Ladies 0, Rip Tide 0 – Stephanie Jarvis, Amanda Sweat, Julia Klucik and Ashley Davis led an outstanding defensive effort for the Ladies while Rachel Taback and Alanna Gilbert played well at midfield and Jillian Spies and Lindsey Laub were outstanding in goal.

Pink Ladies 2, Rapids 1 – Alyssa Carey and Kaley Kruger each scored to lead the Ladies to the win. Kyra Smith had a great game in goal as Emily Rowe and Michelle Haitz anchored the D. For the Rapids, Kaitlin Marsden scored the goal, Samantha Whitley had a strong game in the net, Jillian Thompson sparked the offense and Audra Sama excelled on defense.

Pink Ladies 5, Tigers 1 – Kaley Kruger scored two goals with Alyssa Carey, Meghan Bridges and Nicole Grillo scoring one goal apiece to lead the Ladies to the win. Stephanie Jarvis was outstanding in net. For the Tigers, Ashley Krokovich scored the goal as Erin Saunders and Danielle Eaniello excelled at midfield.

Danbury 2, Huskies 1 – Nicole Vornourso scored the lone Newtown goal on a penalty kick. Carla Lawrence, Sarah McMahon, Isabel Gleason and Jennifer Smith anchored the D.

Rapids 3, Mud Monkeys 0 – Emily Audet scored two goals and Meredith LaPerch added a goal to lead the Rapids to the win. Ashley Leifels assisted and Elena Unschuld was solid on defense. For the Monkeys, Emily Dutt, Emily Terri and Bianca LaBanca powered the D.

Boys U11

Crusaders 2, South Windsor 1 (State Cup) – Sean Burson, Ryan Dunnigan, Andre Cappoziello and Hank Helgren all connected on penalty kicks to ensure the victory. Leading 1-0 at the half, South Windsor then scored shortly into the second half to make the score 1-1 at the end of regulation. Following two overtime sessions, the game moved into the penalty kicks. Justin Brophy was solid in the net Travis Leblanc, Greg Campbell and Josh Barret anchored the defense. throughout the game.

Boys U10

Eagles 3, Powerful Piglets 0 – Ian Solaski scored two goals and Sam Plizka added one to lead the Eagles to the win. Goaltender Nick Gerbo and Robert Nordman played solid defense. For the Piglets, Tyler Coleman and Devin DiNicola played well on offense as Nick Pedalino anchored the D.

Wildfire 3, All Stars 0 – Colin Dutt, Peter Kerns, and Kevin Dennis all scored to lead the Wildfire. Stefan Dullinger and Alec Lockhart played well on D. For the All Stars, Jacob Moore, Christian Barret, Justin Germak and Nicky Shannon had strong performances.

Mud Monkeys 1, Blue Dragons 0 – Yossi Kohrman-Glaser scored the winning goal to lead the Mud Monkeys. Jake Tolson and Mac Morlock both played strong games in the goal and on offense. Ryan Moyer had a strong game on wing. For the Dragons, Stephen Jarvis had a great day on wing with Colin Moller and Austin Isola playing a tough defense.

Girls U10

Metrostars 2, Firekickers 0 – Emma Iannini scored two goals with assists on both from Meaghan Harkins to lead the Stars to the win. Alexis Black kept the ball out of the zone all day and Jane Sclafani kept pressure on the opponent. For the ‘Kickers, Maria Biondi and Kelly van Veen played well on offense as Paige Kroha was solid on D and Kristen DeGirolamo was super in goal.

Mighty Tigers 1, Firefeet 1 – Emily Ashbolt of the Tigers and Kayla O’Leary of the Firefeet scored the lone goals in the draw. Claire Bernson played well in goal for the Tigers as Bethany Dubois and Sydney Hansen powered the offense. Kyra Murray had an assist for the ‘Feet while Meagan Foy and Haley Naphen played well in goal and Katie Peters was solid all around.

Crusaders 2, Fireballs 2 – Kelsey Karp scored two goals and Sally Martinelli had an assist to lead the Crusaders. Marysa Audet played well. Hannah Maret scored twice for the ‘Balls while Amanda Stanton, Tami Corsi and Stefanie Clavette had fine performances.

Girls U8

Shockers 5, Strikers 3 – Katherine Clark and Kate Fallon scored two goals each and Emily Charash added one to lead the Shockers. Alexa Reilly and Ryan Cassin played well defensively. Emily Grimes scored two goals and Dale Shearin added one for the Strikers. Madeline Fletcher played well as Shelby Tolla and Mary Kate Sandler anchored the D.

Cheetahs 2, Panthers 0 – Abi Kuligowski scored a goal and played well in goal to lead the Cheetahs. Karlie Kuligowski also scored a goal as Lindsey Jagoe and Cassie Fischer played very well. For the Panthers, Siena Cicarelli was great at midfield while Nicole Mendonca and Haley Trudell were strong on offense. Danielle Agugliaro played well on defense.

Ball Hogs 5, Strikers 0 – Anna Northrup, Serena Kiss and Sara Lynch scored goals to lead the Ball Hogs to the win. Olivia Ingham and goaltender Rachel Kiehel played well on defense. For the Strikers, Meaghan Grimes and Helen Sorenson played well on offense as Elisabeth Charash, Catherine Neave, Taylor Briker and Jacqueline Mooney had solid performances.

Shooting Stars 4, Cheetahs 0 – Brooke Newton scored four goals to lead the Stars to the win. Jamison Fletcher, Maggie Kost and Megan Weber had strong games. For the Cheetahs, goaltender Susan Ziegler and defenders Hannah Schneiderman and Aimee Alexander played well.

Panthers 1, Panthers 0 – Amy Martinelli scored the lone goal to lead the Panthers to the win. Emily Campbell was aggressive on offense, Haley Trudell kept up the pressure in midfield and Katie Bedell was strong on both ends of the field. For the other Panthers, Olivia Korth, Lindsay Fiori, Madelyn Peck and Taylor LaFave were outstanding.

Boys U8

Tremendous Tigers 6, Huskies 1 – Nathaniel Dowd, Jonah Muniz, Robert Linden, and Calvin Witteveen played well to lead the Tigers to the win. For the Huskies, Devin Matte, Zachary McNulty, Nathan Horvath and Michael Stiemle played well.

Tigersharks 4, Wolverines 2 – Colin Reilly, Kevin Droniak, Anthony Vournazos and Connor Miller scored the goals that lifted the ‘Sharks to the win. For the Wolverines, Charlie Poarch and Gentian Limani scored while Sander Nydell and Liam McNichols were solid in the midfield.

Strikers 2, Werewolves 0 – Luca Imbimbo and Tim Kelly both scored to lead the Strikers while Dylan Palumbo had a great game at halfback. The Werewolves were lead by the good all around play of Carter Nordman, Michael Lally and Kaustev Mitra.

Gators 1, Werewolves 1 – Brendon Scott scored for Gators as Will Dalton was superb on offense and Julian Lewis was solid on defense. For the Werewolves, Matt Rosa scored the lone goal as Sam Boland and Brandon O’Sullivan played well on offense and Brandon Unger played tough defense.

Blue Thunder 1, Gators 0 – Nick Cirone scored the lone goal to lead the Thunder. Travis Hanna was strong on offense and Bradley Kretz was excellent on D. For the Gators, Patrick Berger was strong on defense and Will Dalton played well on offense.

Wizards 3, Superkids 2 – Connor Hanley, Erik Von Schleusingen and Maxwell Galassi scored to lead the Wizards to the win. Nicholas Klein and Patrick Afriyie played well on D. For the ‘Kids, John Carlson and Scott Kelley each scored a goal as Jack Beal did a good job in goal. Scott Kelley played well on offense.

Tigers 3,  Dragons 2 – Connor Gallagher scored twice and was impenetrable in goal for the Tigers. Austin Raftery also scored while Paul O’Leary, Tim Pritchett, and Cary Deyoung played solid defense. For the Dragons, Doug Miller scored two goals with great offensive support from Trevor Connolly and Kevin Ovendorf. Trey DeWald was strong in the goal.
