Denise Elisabeth Lawson and Scott Lawrence Kozek

The engagement of Denise Elisabeth Lawson and Scott Lawrence Kozek is announced. Ms Lawson is the daughter of Alan Lawson of Ewing, N.J., and Barry Smith and the late Pamela E. Smith of Newtown. Mr Kozek is the son of Larry and Debbie Kozek of Sandy Hook.

Ms Lawson is a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School and attended Western Connecticut State University. She is currently employed by Newtown Savings Bank.

Mr Kozek is a 1997 Newtown High School graduate and attended Central Texas College. He is employed as an assistant manager at Union Savings Bank.

An August  wedding is planned.
