Daniel & Bernadette Keayes

Bernadette Marie Cadena and Daniel Joseph Keayes were married by the Reverend Frank Santora on July 21, 2011. The marriage ceremony and reception took place at The Waterview in Monroe.

Bernadette is the daughter of Robert and Kandi Cadena of Alma, Mich., and Kathleen and Donald Schweihofer of China, Mich. She was given into marriage by her parents.

Brook Cadena, of China, Mich., served as the maid of honor. Bernadette’s bridesmaids were Geri Keayes of Newtown and Shana Gionda of St Clair, Mich., while Victoria Keayes was junior bridesmaid.

 Emma and Ashlyn Gonda of St Clair, Ella and Sophia DuVernay of Algonac, Mich., and Morgan Neff of Sandy Hook were all flower girls. The ring bearers were Wesley and Lance Keayes of Newtown and Christopher and Matthew Cadena of Dearborn, Mich.

Daniel is the son of John and Geraldine Keayes of Newtown.

His best man was John Keayes of Newtown. The groomsmen were Victor Ochoa and Daniel Savinelli, and Zachary Keayes was junior groomsman.

Zachary and Molly Cadena were the couple’s ushers.

Bernadette Keayes is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School. She is a nanny for a Sandy Hook family.

Daniel Keayes works for the Town of Westport and is also self-employed.

The Keayeses honeymooned on Cape Cod, and have returned to their home in Monroe.
