*It’s one last trip to Georgetown Saloon for THE DOUG WAHLBERG BAND, fronted by the Newtown rocker. The band will be at the Redding venue on Saturday, December 29, starting after 9. Reservations, say the band’s most recent email, are recommended; call 203-544-8003.

Next month the guys (Doug, George, T-Bone, Rick and Tom) will be heading back to the city, first for a January 11 show at The Cutting Room with special guest Marc Huberman (call 203-512-2770 for party bus info and reservations), and then up to Ledyard for a pair of shows at Foxwoods Casino on January 25 and 26.

*JOHN VOKET and BRENDAN WALSH will be back at Mocha Coffee House this weekend, doing the co-headlining thing on Saturday night. The guys plan to start a year-end jam session around 7:15.

*Regional band STRATOSPHEERIUS will be playing its next fairly local show on January 12 when it rolls into Ray Kelly’s Pub, 2720 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, to continue celebrating and supporting new album Headspace. Showtime is 9 pm, tickets are $5, and the venue’s phone number is 203-333-6278.

I haven’t heard it for myself but the band described the latest collection of songs as a combination of rock, funk, jazz, Latin and Middle Eastern music.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
