David Paul  Gulla
David Paul Gulla, 56, of Austin Street, Danbury, died of a heart attack on March 5.
Mr Gulla was born in Danbury, January 22, 1949, a son of the late George and Helen (Bakos) Gulla, He was a lifelong Danbury resident, a 1967 graduate of Danbury High School, and received an associate of fine arts degree in 1971 from the Silvermine College of Art in New Canaan.
He is survived by seven sisters, Marjorie Lewis and Jean Holmes, both of Newtown, Emily Gulla of Weimar, Calif., Barbara Vidal and her husband, Gerald, of Bridgewater, Mary Cormier and her husband, Abbe, Elizabeth Clark and her husband, Thomas, Susan Zelinek and her husband, Charles, all of Danbury; three brothers, Edward G. Gulla and his wife, Yvonne, of San Bruno, Calif., Robert A. Gulla and his wife, Betsy, of Forest, Va., Ron Gulla of Danbury; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was a self-employed painter and more recently had worked at Comcast. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and was an avid sports fan and golfer.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division Street, Danbury, Saturday, March 12, from 2 to 3 pm, with a short prayer at 3. Cremation was at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the charity of oneâs choice.
