Currituck Rear-Ender

Motorist Gregory Huhn, 51, of 3 Turkey Roost Road, who was driving a 2003 Mazda Tribute sport-utility vehicle southward on Currituck Road about 2:12 pm August 22, stopped at a stop sign at Currituck Road’s intersection with Main Street, police said.

Huhn then began to pull away from the stop sign, but stopped again, and was struck from behind by motorist Rodney Rowe, 50, of Brookfield, who was driving a 1995 GMC pickup truck, police  said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Rowe a written warning for following too closely.

Four Charges

Police report they charged motorist Sarah O’Neill, 23, of Danbury with four motor vehicle violations on August 23. Police charged O’Neill with traveling too fast, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, and failure to notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change. Police released O’Neill on $50 bail for a September 13 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
