Rose Marie      Steinfeld

Rose Marie Steinfeld, 61, of Newtown, died April 24, at Connecticut Hospice, after a long illness.

Mrs Steinfeld was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Tassielli, and was an office administrator with Metropolitan Life. She was a member of the Newtown Republican Town Committee, and the Professional Women’s Club.

Mrs Steinfeld is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Steinfeld of Newtown; her sisters, Jessie Bennett and Mary Knapp, both of Florida; and by her brother, Nicholas Tassielli of Rhode Island.

Services took place on April 25 from the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, with interment following at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
