Jason Bestor and Stephanie Hays

Stephanie Rebecca Hays and Jason Burnham Bestor were married by the Reverend Marsha Shuman on February 12, 2007, on St Croix, the Virgin Islands.

The wedding and reception were held at Blue Vista Villa, overlooking the sea. Fourteen family members and friends joined the couple to celebrate their marriage. The reception was catered by a local restaurant, and the entire group spent a week in St Croix.

The bride is the daughter of Norma Hays of Newtown and the late Robert A. Hays.

For her wedding day Ms Hays (who will retain her maiden name) wore a draped chiffon gown with spaghetti straps, back ruching and crystal beading.

Ms Hays is a graduate of Newtown High School, University of Connecticut and also of Fairfield University. She is employed as a critical care nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Mr Bestor is the son of Mary Burnham and Jack Bestor. He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, and is employed as a Microsoft systems engineer for Manhattan Group.

Following their destination wedding and celebration, the couple has returned to their home in Naugatuck.
