NHS Hosting Hoops For Troops

Newtown High School’s Peer Leadership is hosting a “Hoops for Troops” student versus faculty basketball game, this Friday, May 20, at 6 pm, in the school’s gymnasium.

Partial proceeds from the event will benefit wounded soldiers through the Wounded Warrior Project. For more information on this cause go to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Community members are invited to attend the event. At the door tickets will cost $2 with children under 5 years old admitted for free.

A raffle will be held during the event, and other contests and prizes will also be available.
