To the Editor:

I am writing in support of Eric Paradis, who is running for a seat on the Board of Education. I have been teaching in Fairfield County for 14 years, and understand the incredible importance a Board of Education is in a town. We need educated, creative, articulate and knowledgeable people in the field of education on our board. There is so much potential in Newtown’s schools, we need people like Eric Paradis to help us improve and move us forward as a school system.

My husband and I have known Eric and his family for about five years. Our children go to school together, play together, and have spent countless hours out on the soccer field together. Eric is always interested in connecting with my kids, checking on how their school days are going, and always wanting to know what they are studying at the moment. You can tell he is a passionate teacher, someone who was meant to teach. This is the type of individual Newtown needs on its Board of Education.
