Margaret Claire Dotter of New York City, daughter of Wilbur and Mary Dotter of West Pittson, Penn., and Mark David Yarish, also New York City, son of Charles and Karen Yarish of Newtown, were joined in Holy Matrimony on June 18 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in West Pittston by the Rev James Alco.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a La Esposa floor-length gown of ivory satin with a short train. Her bouquet was an assortment of wildflowers in fuchsia, orange, yellow, green, and purple.
The matron of honor was Amy Sitler of Pen Argyl, Penn. Bridesmaids were Kristina Saffran, Douglaston, N.Y., cousin of the bride, Laura Poldomani, Newtown, sister of the groom, and Bridget Mellody, Philadelphia, and Kathleen Burke, Weehawken, N.J., friends of the bride. The attendants wore tea-length satin dresses of dark ivory. They also carried an assortment of wildflowers.
Brian Morris, New York City, served as best man. Ushers were Ron Poldomani, the groomâs brother-in-law, and the brideâs brothers Billy Dotter, New York City, Charlie Dotter, Stillacoom, Wash., and Stevie Dotter, Philadelphia.
A wedding reception was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Scranton, Penn.
Mrs Yarish received her bachelor of science degree in counseling and human services from the University of Scranton and her master of social work degree from New York University. She is employed as a social worker for Manhattan Family Court and is the borough supervisor for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Mr Yarish graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in geography and received his master in management degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a risk controller for Deutsche Bank in New York.
Following a trip to Italy and a Mediterranean cruise to Italy, Greece, and France, the couple is at home in Brooklyn, N.Y.
