Emily Ann Allison and Brian Patrick Slattery

Joan Allison and Harold Allison announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Allison, to Brian Slattery. The couple, who lives in Sandy Hook, met at Newtown Middle School.

Emily is a 2004 graduate of Newtown High School. She is a student at Western Connecticut State University (Class of 2007), and is majoring in social work.

Brian is the son of Claire Slattery of Newtown and Chris Roberts of Dover Plains, N.Y. He graduated from Newtown High School in 2004, and currently works at Newtown Exxon. He is also a member of Newtown Hook & Ladder Volunteer Fire Company.

An August wedding is being planned.
