Political Action Committee Endorsement
Democrat Lisa Romano has received the support of the Realtors Political Action Committee in her bid for election to the 106th district seat in the Connecticut General Assembly.
âAs a realtor, I an honored to receive this endorsement from my colleagues,â Ms Romano said. âThis organization of realtors chooses candidates will fight to promote and protect the American dream of home ownership. Its endorsement acknowledges our agreement on the importance of private property rights, and housing opportunity and choice.â
Romano has been affiliated with the Coldwell Banker office in Newtown since 2007.
âEntering residential real estate at the beginning of the collapse of the housing market, I have experienced our economic downturn at its center, and am grateful to see prices stabilize and a recent increase in home sales,â Ms Romano said. âBut more needs to be done at the state level, particularly in the area of short sales, to make those transactions quicker and more transparent for both sellers and buyers.â
A letter of endorsement from Joseph Krist, representing the Realtors Political Action Committee in East Hartford, states that the groupâs endorsements go to candidates who possess âattributes favorable to free enterprise, private property rights, and housing opportunity and choice.â
