Girls' Track And Field Squad Wins Two In Season-Opening Meet
Newtown High School’s girls’ track and field team defeated host Pomperaug of Southbury 101-49, and Kolbe Cathedral of Bridgeport 150-0, on April 21.
The season-opening meet was put on hold for an afternoon because of rain. Newtown’s top finishers are as follows:

The NHS boys’ squad’s opener, at home, was postponed twice this week because of rain, and was rescheduled for 4 pm on Thursday, April 23. The girls and boys are slated to participate in the O’Grady Relays at Danbury High April 24-25.
